Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you’ve ever wanted to know about our puppies, our process, and life with a Toy Poodle — answered with honesty and love.

Are your puppies AKC registered?

Yes — every puppy from ToyPoodleBabies.com is fully AKC (American Kennel Club) registered. You will receive an AKC registration application so you can complete the registration in your name. Both parents are AKC registered with documented pedigrees available upon request.

We specialize in several beautiful coat colors, including apricot, cream, chocolate, silver, red, and black. Availability changes with each litter. We recommend joining our waitlist and sharing your color preference — we’ll notify you as soon as a matching puppy becomes available.

Our puppies are born and raised inside our home — never in an outdoor kennel or barn. From their very first days, they are handled gently, exposed to everyday household sounds, and surrounded by family. We use Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) protocols during weeks 3–5 to build confidence and resilience that lasts a lifetime.

Absolutely! We typically plan 3–4 litters per year. Our waitlist is how most families find their puppy. Simply submit an inquiry with your preferences and we’ll contact you when a litter is expected.

How big do Toy Poodles get?

Toy Poodles are the smallest variety of poodle. They typically stand under 10 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 4–6 pounds at full maturity. Their petite size makes them ideal for apartment living and city life — while still packing a surprisingly bold, vibrant personality into that tiny frame.

Toy Poodles are widely considered one of the most hypoallergenic dog breeds available. They have a single-layer curly coat that sheds very minimally, significantly reducing dander in your home. While no dog is 100% allergen-free, most allergy sufferers find Toy Poodles very manageable.

Toy Poodles are exceptionally intelligent, affectionate, and eager to please — consistently ranking among the top 2 most intelligent dog breeds in the world. They are playful, loving, and bond deeply with their families. They thrive on attention and do beautifully with children, seniors, and other pets. They can be sensitive, so a calm and loving home is ideal.

Toy Poodles are a remarkably long-lived breed. With proper care, nutrition, and regular veterinary checkups, they commonly live 14 to 18 years. This is one of the many reasons people fall so deeply in love — you get many wonderful, joyful years together with your companion.
